Fleece & Knitwear Care Tips
Straightforward care guidance from Gannon Taneja so fleece and knits stay comfortable longer. Always follow the care label on your garment if it differs from the notes below.
Washing
- Machine wash on a cool or 30°C / gentle cycle with similar colors.
- Use a mild detergent. Avoid fabric softener—it can reduce loft and water shedding on some finishes.
- Wash inside-out to limit surface pilling from friction.
- Do not bleach.
Drying & finishing
- Prefer line-dry or flat-dry. Many fleeces should not be tumble dried—check the label.
- If ironing is allowed, use a cool iron; many fleeces need no ironing.
- Do not dry clean unless the label expressly allows it.
Between wears
- Air garments after sweaty hikes before storing.
- Store dry and loosely folded; avoid long compression that flattens fleece pile.
